Perfect stay at the Saint Antoine. The view of the Mer de Glace from the room is worth the trip alone, you never get tired of it. The location is ideal: the bus stop for Chamonix is literally at the foot of the hotel, no car constraints. The quietness of the place is a change from the more central and noisy addresses in the valley. The beds are remarkably comfortable, you sleep really well after a day in the mountains. Breakfast is a real asset: varied, generous, good quality, you take the time to enjoy it. The spa is impeccable in terms of hygiene, you can tell it is seriously maintained. A place I recommend without reservation, we will come back. Areas for improvement to mention to him privately Other recent reviews (2020-2026) mention two points, not dramatic but real: Breakfast judged "simple" by some English-speaking visitors, contrary to your experience. Perhaps a difference in perception between seasons or between packages, to check with him. Bathrooms judged a bit cramped in some rooms (combined shower/toilet/sink). Nothing urgent, but a point to keep in mind if a renovation is planned. One thing to consider as well: TripAdvisor advises against reviews coming from people close to the owner, it can lead to the comment being removed if it is reported. If you want to avoid this risk, you can remain factual about your stay without mentioning the friendship, which is what the version above does.

Great location for the TMB and for exploring Chamonix and surrounding areas. The room was perfectly fine for 1 person. Comfortable and all the facilities I needed. Great food and a lovely indoor and outdoor eating areas. The electric fan in my room was very noisy, so that was a little irritating.

What a gem this hotel is! Beautiful location and views, convenient to city centre, and clean rooms. The owners, Antoinette and Louis, are welcoming and warm, the staff is friendly and efficient (Francois was wonderful!), and the accommodations are comfortable. They also have a restaurant serving delicious meals, especially their pizza! I would gladly stay here for an extended trip!
