I discovered this gem of a hotel last November. My husband was in CHU Limoges for several weeks after emergency surgery for a burst appendix. It was a very emotional time. There were a couple of weeks when I needed to be close to the hospital for several hours a day. Staying at the Hotel was just what I needed and I shall be forever grateful for the kindness and support of all the staff, especially Heather and the team on Reception. The hotel is in an excellent location, next to the Chenieux Polyclinic and Eye Clinic; and convenient for the CHU hospital and for the centre of Limoges. The hotel and golf course are set in a parkland surrounded by mature trees, offering a calm and relaxing environment. This hotel is also very good value for money. My husband and I have been back several times since his recovery and hope to go back again soon!

Domain Golf Saint Lazare was an overnight stop on our route to South West France. It is a perfect location just five minutes off the motorway yet secluded and overlooking the golf course. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the room was great value. It worked so well for us that we rebooked for two weeks later on our return journey and enjoyed the same level of visit. It will be even nicer in the Summer as they have a lovely terrace overlooking the golf course for meals and drinks.

In transit to our southern home, we stopped at this establishment. Easy access and near the highway. Rooms/ bathroom correct. The restaurant deserves a better chef. I took the fake veal fillet cooked on a grill that marked the meat. Maybe for beef but for veal? I would have liked this schnitzel cooked in the pan, quite slowly and deglazed with cream with a hint of cognac and a round of pepper had little puree worthy of the name. it was served with fries, I ate 3 or 4. The service not too bad, the room manager is more of a hall brasserie style than a glove club. Breakfast, okay.
