Courchevel Olympic

Apart from the kindness of all the staff, this is the only thing to remember from this dirty, aging, totally uncomfortable establishment. Worthy of the 60s!!!! Decent breakfast.

Price is good to be in Courchevel 1850 but is too expensive for what the hotel has to offer. I stayed in this hotel in March 2025 and March 2026, 7 nights each. This year I had paid more than 2025 and yet I was given a room at the back overlooking old worn-out exterior facades of the 1950s. You apparently have to specify this when you make your reservation. However, this is nowhere on their site. The wifi was slow and not sufficient to provide all rooms. The television (via coaxial cable) was therefore often not working, murky and cubes in the picture. On the screen came "signal faible" every time The floor covering / tapis square was dirty. Ok, after all winter that is possible and difficult to maintain so why not vinyl or laminate? The handle of the room door was crooked and cracked. The toilet push button was missing. Some fronts of several drawers were completely loose. The staff member advised me to send an email (madamevacances) for this, which I also did the first day. To this day, no response. The staff was very friendly (except the man) and had nice chats. The breakfast was in buffet form and certainly adequate and good. That's why I wanted to rebook for March 27. Especially since I got an "early bird" offer and I got a 10% loyalty bonus. It now appears that, despite this, "cumulable avec nos offres et promotions" cannot be used. The emails I got back were more and more rude and therefore this review to warn the people. The person in question is R. G. Resp Serv Reserve. Unless they make another counterproposal, I won't be booking a hotel with this group again.

Very poor standard of room, very tired and a bit grotty, needs a complete overhaul: Main bedroom area - the carpet was disgusting, very stained in multiple places, insufficient lighting (only two wall lights above the bed), no hooks on the wall whatsoever. Bathroom - inadequate ventilation, mould on the ceiling, mouldy shower curtain, no towel rail and nowhere to dry towels anywhere. Ski room - not heated and boots remained damp overnight. The bar area downstairs was obviously the main focus for the owners, it had a nice atmosphere, but the food was variable with a set menu in the evening. Main courses were mostly fairly tasty but desserts seemed to be shop bought and pre-frozen. The staff were, however, very friendly and helpful. In summary, this was probably the worst hotel room we have stayed in and, to top it off, we discovered the carpet was sopping wet in one corner (possibly from a leaking shower). On the upside, the shower worked well!
