Residence Nemea Les Chalets des Cimes

Large family of 10 people, we booked 2 apartments this winter, from February 14 to February 21, one for 6 people and one for 4 people. Goelia sold us for the small sum of 50 euros extra, a guaranteed investment side by side with our 2 apartments. The residence had attractive services, with heated pool and sauna, parking spaces provided for our 2 cars. The price of the total reservation was 3955 euros per week, (excluding guaranteed placement ) quite substantial! Filled with the legitimate hope of spending a wonderful week’s holiday in La Toussuire, we hit the road from Normandy, at 4 a.m., for an arrival around 6:30 p.m. Time for disappointment. At the reception, in the midst of the panic of the people who arrived in an indescribable chaos of disorganization, after a long moment of waiting with tired children and baby, first bad news: our apartments, were not side by side, but were not in the same cottage! For our 2 cars, only one parking space: 6E. The 9th did not exist, we searched for it all week in vain. The staff on site is hardly considerate and unhelpful, did not help us find this location. (Because of non-existence probably or incompetence?) The apartments are small, one survives on top of the other, poorly designed, outdated, ill-equipped: no oven for the kitchen for example, a tiny microwave takes its place. The dishwasher is all shaky and works by miracle once in 2, the living room table is planned for 6 but barely 5 people can actually eat together. Few dishes, almost non-existent storage, inconvenient. A complete disappointment with the service announced. But at this point we have no choice, we settle as we can, it’s the fourbis... Want a sauna? No luck, it's been out of order for a long time and we're waiting for the part... Need a snow shovel to clear the cars? Look for her! The staff of the residence did not arrange a loan of shovels (they count on citizenship!) and in front of the heavy snowfall, “the residents keep the shovels at home, we were told...” The alleys of the residence are not cleared of snow, it is dangerous, ice. The residence is announced 500 m from the town of Toussuire, but know that to go to the snow front, it will be 500 m more, or in total 1 km uphill, without sidewalks, for pedestrians it is not great..., there is a free shuttle that passes not far indeed, but armored with people and random times...Even if the residence is this time for nothing, it should be noted the constraint. I will finish with the positive: it is clean and heated, and a beautiful view.

We are extremely disappointed by our stay. We booked this apartment nearly €1,800 per week for two adults and one child, presented as “at the foot of the slopes”. In fact, the tracks are about a kilometer away. The shuttle is saturated and impractical, which forces us to take the car every day. Access to the accommodation is complicated and dangerous: narrow street not cleared of snow, inability to use our parking space, stairs not cleared of snow to access the apartment. As soon as we arrived, many problems were present: broken beds (unstable bunk bed and defective pull-out bed), blocked siphons that we had to uncork ourselves, dirty linen from the previous occupants still on site, mixer mounted upside down. Despite three requests, no interventions were made. We had to completely rearrange the beds, with no comfort. The facilities advertised do not match the description: swimming pool 500 meters away and not in the building, closed on Wednesday and early evening, cold water, icy showers, sauna broken down all week despite a promise of repair. The pool and sanitary areas are dirty. The gym is in another building. Ski lockers are unusable (key that does not work) and located outside, with no space to put on. The accommodation is also noisy. From day one, we asked for a refund to leave the premises (we had an alternative, cheaper and better located solution). Absolute refusal. At the reception, we are told that the owners do not do the work and that no checks on the accommodation are carried out before the arrival of the guests. We were even told that these checks are no longer done to avoid overtime. This seriously questions the professionalism of the establishment. At the end of the stay, we were told that we tried to contact us to repair the bed, which is not true. We were visible every day at the reception and no information was given to us. In addition, personnel entered to collect the linen in our absence, without proceeding with repairs. We left the accommodation perfectly clean; the deposit was returned without verification, which says a lot about household control. For nearly €2,000 a week in a three-star advertised residence, we expected a minimum of compliance, security and seriousness. The value for money is largely inadequate and the services do not correspond to the description or the price paid.

We booked for 4 and we have a cell with 1 bunk bed and a sofa bed in the living room. Everything is cheap, no charm of the mountain , no decor, blinding white bulb, almost nothing in the kitchen, wall in crépi, no storage, in short NOTHING to do with the photos on the internet attention! Only the view is beautiful. A little off-center but shuttle.
