La Residence Au Berceau de Bernadette

This review is long overdue, but I am so happy that I am finally writing it. My husband and I visited France for the first time in May last year and stayed at Residence au Berceau de Bernadette. Elizabeth the Host, was such a lovely, gentle, kind person and gave helpful advice of where we should go and what we must see. We stayed in St. Expedit Studio and I must say, if you truly want to experience France, this is it. I loved everything, even the short walk up the steps to our room. The room was small and quaint, the perfect size for us as a couple, had a small balcony which I can look over to hear and see the beautiful people and tourist, but when I closed the balcony doors it got quiet. Even though there was no air conditioning I did not notice as it was very cool and comfortable, especially at night as we were gone most of the days. Did I mention the location? Absolutely perfect. We walked to everywhere, especially to Our Lady of Lourdes site. Just amazing. I would absolutely stay there again and much thanks to Elizabeth for making us feel so welcomed. God bless you. Great room and fantastic location. Stayed here for week to explore more of the Lourdes area . The room is clean and has everything you would need . Hob, microwave, coffee machine ,kettle and all the cutlery pots and pans to be self sufficient which we later came to appreciate as we were eating out a couple of times a day . Lourdes is an expensive place to eat . We were paying €70 a day no drinks one meal in the afternoon one in the evening . So it was great to find a Lidl a bit of a walk past the train station.pasta, mince , spuds , sausages ,milk and a great bakery section we were sorted . The room is located in the middle of the Main Street just short walk from everything the host Katherine is very welcoming she was always on hand if needed anything.

Very quiet manicured rooms 5 minutes from the cave. Very nice and personal welcome by Elisabet I will definitely be back! Rudi Clappaert
