Hilton Paris La Defense

I had to stay here for a business trip. The actual hotel and staff are fine, but getting in and leaving are a nightmare. I arrived via car service at 10 pm after a long travel day to find that security would not let my driver anywhere near the hotel. The hotel is located in a mall with no way to enter or exit other than walking. It was the same issue when I left, only worse. I was advised by the hotel staff that my best option for rideshare pickup was a nearby hotel (Pullman) and they just kind of laughed and apologized for the inconvenience. The nearby hotel looks fairly close, but it requires going over cobblestone streets, an uphill bridge, and 3 flights of stairs to reach it from the Hilton. All while carrying luggage. I would never stay here again and advise anyone else against it unless you absolutely need to for work. It is nothing special and not at all worth the hassle.

Stayed for 3 nights ..Paris marathon. A first rate experience…nothing too much trouble . Excellent rooms ,staff and food . Faultless

Rooms were updated and clean, shower etc spotless - really good cleaning service and prompt front of house in both reception and the dining room. Good breakfast offering. What’s weird is where it is - built inside the concrete shell at La Defense, overlooking the INSIDE of the shopping mall. Results in no/low natural light at all on the hotel, couldn’t imagine staying here for a longer period of time without going crazy - on the plus side, you could hear a pin drop in the room as no traffic etc keeping you awake. Would recommend if you have to stay for night or 2, and it has to be in La Defense for business. Would not stay here if I was a tourist in Paris, lots of better options.
