Le Logis De Saint Jean Chambre

We enjoyed 4 nights in Logis St. Jean. Valerie was an excellent host. Delightful and provided excellent communication. This is a bed & breakfast and that must be taken into consideration. Not a swanky five star hotel. The value of this hotel is wonderful. Super location in Bayeux. Parking our rental was of concern prior to our arrival. No need to have worried. Street parking is available at no charge. We found a paid lot that was super convenient. (Look for Pl. Eugene Surville. Go through the lot, over a bridge, and parking is 2 minutes from B&B through a pedestrian alley) Bayeux is an ideal staging area for Normandy beaches. Driving a rental, no big deal if you have gps. Valerie made our stay wonderful.

I spent 5 nights there. The welcome and service are warm. Valerie, the host of the place, is very friendly and available to advise guests and support them in their steps. Breakfast included in the package is rich and varied. The room I occupied, not very large by our standards in America, but very functional. If I return to Normandy, this is where I will stop again.

Although situated in a charming ancient building, hundreds of years old, everything about this bed and breakfast was up to date. Our room was large and modern with a comfortable seat and table. The bathroom was large, immaculate and modern, too. But what made our stay particularly special was how accommodating Valerie was. From our first booking, she made sure that we understood that our room was up one flight of stairs. She gave us a good list of recommended restaurants that were spot on excellent. She accommodated our early arrival and late departure, allowing storage of our luggage on both ends as we enjoyed ourselves around town. The breakfasts were delightfu, with local jams and cheesel. I loved her homemade cakes and the yogurt! She brought in espresso for me after I requested it our first morning. Also, the courtyard was nicely set up for relaxing there.
