Residhome Nanterre la Defense

After 3 business stays at this establishment, I can give my opinion. Otherwise, being close to the RER station is its only asset for me. You have to try several rooms to find one without the smell of stale tobacco or sewage. The rooms seem clean at first glance, but you shouldn't look too closely. The bedding is comfortable, but the double beds are just 2 single beds pushed together that keep moving apart and form a gap. If you want to use the dishes, wash them first.

Very close to the RER station (Nanterre Université) 500 meters (7 minutes on foot) and 1.3 km and 19 minutes from Iron Maiden!… (or La Défense Arena, if you prefer), so ideally located, we had very good contact from our arrival (also during our departure, although a small gesture to check if everything went well would have been greatly appreciated). That said, while waiting for our apartment to be ready, we enjoyed the beautifully decorated and well-air-conditioned lobby lounge (it was 38° outside). Our apartment, simply but very adequately equipped for 2 people, suited us perfectly. Comfortable and clean, we also benefited from excellent bedding, air conditioning of course, and a television (of good size). The bathroom is really spacious and nothing is missing (products and towels). Finally, there is also a practical and functional kitchenette. Note: the proximity of a LIDL just a few meters from the hotel! In short, we had already stayed there 2 years ago and we were already completely satisfied. In fact, we will return there, that’s for sure, and we obviously recommend it...

It had been two years since I regularly stayed at the Résidhome de Paris Nanterre, located 10 minutes from the university where I have my part-times three times a year (January, May, June). As a loyal guest, I have always booked my stays there without any problems. However, on my last attempt to book for two weeks in June, I had a deeply disappointing experience. I contacted them to book and the manager — that’s how he introduced himself — put me on the waiting list for the second week, while making sure I would have a room. He asked me to wait up to three weeks before my exams to confirm the booking for the first week as well, assuring me that it would not cause any problem, as "there are always withdrawals". When the day came, I called back, as agreed. He told me he would contact me to finalize the reservation. Which he never did. I raised several times, but without success. Every time I called, I ran into colleagues who told me he was on a break, or that they were going to give him the message. One of them even replied that he could not do anything until “the price had been discussed with the person in charge”. That’s when I realized: I was deliberately being wasted time until the dates approached and there were no affordable options left, so that I could inflate the room prices — already high in terms of Service rendered. As a result, I had to look for another accommodation in an emergency. I found an AirBnB at the last minute: better equipped, certainly a little further away, but three times cheaper. Conclusion: The Résidhome de Paris Nanterre is not only too expensive for the Service offered, but also seems to practice dubious methods, particularly unfair to already precarious students. I strongly recommend turning to other solutions, such as AirBnB, which are much more reliable and often much better in terms of quality/price
