We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Hotel le Cardinal. It was in a lovely area with many bars and restaurants nearby, abd a short drive into Central Paris, but it was quiet at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. As a vegan I was pleased to be offered a choice of soya milk or almond milk, and whilst others enjoyed the great coffee or chocolate from tge machine, I was delighted to have English Breakfast tea. Breakfast was substantial with fresh fruits, pastries, different cold meats and cheese and a variety of cereals. The room beautifully clean with a comfortabke bed, an excellent bathroom and great shower. There was free WiFi. In the evenings friendly staff ran between reception duties and serving at the bar, which was adequate rather than extensive, with some delays, but it was comfortable and had outdoor as well as indoor seating. There was a lift to the upper floors. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Quite a nice hotel on the whole. A little frayed in places, but nothing to spoil your stay. When we arrived it was around 36deg C in the evening, but the air conditioned room, which had already been running provided a welcoming atmosphere when we entered the room. Our room was on the 3rd floor of the adjoining annex accessed via the car park, and an operating lift was helpful in getting our luggage to the room. Reception seemed a little crazy ( arriving later than scheduled along with another 45 guests didn't help) but the single receptionist soon processed everyone . The beds were very comfortable with crisp clean linen serviced on both days we were there. A walk in shower and seperate wc complemented the facilities. There was a TV in the room.but limited to French broadcasts. Breakfast was a purely continental affair as expected, but the availability of fresh bread, cold meats, fresh fruit, pastries etc ensured a decent fare was provided. The coffee machine was excellent and always kept fully serviced and maintained. The hotels location meant you could wonder around the area and easily find a variety of restaurants to choose from. The one we dined in provided excellent value for money and the staff very friendly. Although we didn't use the hotel bar, fellow travellers who did said it was reasonably priced. There is also a supermarket across the street from the hotel if you need anything, and it open until at least 8pm in the evening. I would definitely recommend the hotel, and stay there again. Yes it's not within the centre of Paris, but a taxi into the city would cost around €20 . Try finding that in London.

Not the best located for transport. Town itself is very nice! Breakfast basic and boring- cafe or McDonald’s across the road is better!! Bed small Room very basic. Didn’t have a kettle. Shower had no pressure didn’t get very hot. Average sized room. Our card stopped working 4 times during the visit. Drinks over priced. Overall was a room to sleep in but wouldn’t go again
