The food is excellent, eating in the courtyard is very romantic, we have been coming here for years, generally always a terrific experience. The old chateau Salette wines were wonderful but the taste seems to have changed, but plenty of nice wines and good knowledge. The bedrooms are very modern but on this last visit there were some insect creeping under the door. The whole building and gardens are beautiful. The pool is a bit chilly.

We have gone to eat at the Château de Salette several times, both at lunch and in the evening, but this last time we were disappointed not by the chef's cooking but by the service. An ordinary food and wine pairing with disappointing wines and a totally absent sommelier who in no way justified her choices even though she knew how to be very present at other tables as we knew her to be. And above all the service was fast and too rushed, the waitress came several times to ask us if she could clear the table while we were still eating and placed the cheese platter down without any form of explanation! Choosing to come and spend an evening at a restaurant like the Château de Salette is a whole experience; you come for the food, for the setting, but also for the service, and in this case, the latter was not up to par. A value for money ratio also includes the quality of the welcome and the service. If we were to return, we would hope to find the atmosphere that had won us over previously...

We really enjoyed ourselves 4-course menu Execution of the dishes perfectly successful, especially the fresh foie gras and the peach dessert Relaxed but professional service, plus a lovely accent Selection of affordable local wines In short, a big thank you to the whole team because we had a very lovely evening
