Brit Hotel Le Surcouf

Of course, we are in season. But I find a room where access to the shower is forbidden to anyone of an already advanced size quite expensive. Because the space left vacant to access this shower is really tiny (room 18). Too bad because otherwise the hotel is close to Courtoisville and welcoming. Parking requires a bit of "circling" around, but you can still find a spot quite easily. The staff is pleasant, even attentive. I did not find "Canal plus" contrary to what another review said. I will not give an opinion on the breakfast, which we did not have due to the "cruise" departure and arrival times. No shutters in the room, but there is a blackout curtain.

The young woman that greeted us was just great. She was friendly, helpful. The rooms were cozy. A good walk to the walled city. The local neighborhood was very interesting and fun. They need to put a sign up that you can see when you check in that says “only food purchased on the premises can be consumed on the premises “. Walked to the local bakery and brought some items and went to sit in the dining and the guy working the front desk got upset. We said OK we would go to our room and he still said not allowed. So we ate our items in the outside smoking area.

Very satisfied with the reception and consideration given to our stay! We therefore recommend this hotel, which remains close to the main places of Saint-Malô. Very nice breakfast with fresh products. Staff friendly and available.
