This hotel is advertised as a good 4 star hotel. It is nothing of the sort! First of all, the bedrooms are not attractive. They are dark with a gloomy depressing decor which does nothing to enhance them. We arrived at the hotel on a very hot day which was not easy for anyone but particularly uncomfortable for two elderly women. The staff sitting at reception watched us struggle up the steps from our car with our cases and did not move a finger to help us or enlist help from staff in the hotel. They were hot and they were bored and they made no gesture of any kind to assist. We were shown to our two bedrooms and it was clear that the common parts, staircase and hallways of the hotel had been newly decorated. Whoever advised on the colour scheme perhaps did not realise that a hotel should look attractive. It had dark and unappealing colours and was possibly the most unattractive hotel decoration we had ever seen. I made a point of sitting for a few minutes in the guests’ sitting room which was furnished with probably the cheapest furniture I have seen in a 3 or 4 star hotel. At least that was painted in light clear colours. We stayed one night which was more than enough.

Visited with my sister. We are both elderly. We had a rather strange hotel just outside St.Malo but close to the beach. We had a poor welcome, two receptionist were behind their desk but neither offered to help us with our heavy luggage up several steps. The freshly painted decor is dark brown and all the furnishings are cheap. Bathrooms are very clean and work well. It is listed as a 4 star hotel, but it needs to be reassessed. 3 stars would be generous.

Lovely location along the boardwalk. About 30 min walk from medieval city. Room was clean; balcony door; nice amenities; breakfast was adequate. Front desk staff were amazing! Special shout out to the lovely Maddy who went out of her way to assure our comfort. Room sizes do vary. Would recommend.
