Super romantic hotel, clean, superior to the standards of the other hotels visited between Normandy and Brittany, with a room with a breathtaking view of the bay, located near the oyster market. I usually never have dinner where I stay, but the restaurant is truly of an excellent standard; you can eat outdoors with a view of the sea and sunset, I recommend the razor clams with rosemary and butter sauce, sardines, and mussels. Cancale has a double soul: the lively promenade, the oyster market on the doorstep, the tides and the sea that comes and goes. Le Continental is located right here, separated from the sea by only a few meters of road that in the afternoon becomes pedestrian. From the room the view is beautiful: live tides and full horizon. A few voices from the street can be heard, but the view pays off. The building is dated, but the bathroom of our room was renovated, with full courtesy set. Free Wi‐Fi, newly installed elevator, good cleaning. No air conditioning, but on August 15 it was 22 degrees: we slept with the windows open, in total comfort. Breakfast with a wide choice of sweet and savory, homemade jams. The hotel is home to the Michelin-starred L’Ormeau restaurant, a valuable and convenient presence.
