On arriving after a 8 hour car journey we were greeted by a very bi lingual young man. Extremely helpful. The room was great good wi fi reception and nice and cool overlooking the Chinese restaurant. Beds were comfy and the facilities were fine no problem with parking. On leaving we came across a female who was not so helpful but you can't choose your receptionist. All in all a good stopover for a couple of nights.

We stayed at the Stares in Tours last October(2012) we were only going to stay 1 night on our way south, We had to book for extra night due to breakdown with car. The English speaking staff could not have been more helpful. Ringing & speaking to the garage & booking taxi's. The rooms not big but very clean with piping hot shower & comfortable bed & no noise from the road.The breakfast was excellent, cereals/fruit/assorted rolls/eggs/cold meats and assorted cheeses. lots of hot coffee and able to eat as much as we required. We would stay again on our way south & easy to find just off major road

thank goodness we booked this hotel just as an overnight stop on our way from u.k to spain, the girl on reception was very surly, she couldn't speak English and made no attempt to try to understand us when we booked in,even though when we booked it said English speaking staff!!!! Our room was tiny with just enough room to shuffle round the bed , our en-suite was more like an airoplane toilet, made of plastic, definitely not be staying there again.
