Domaine de Clairefontaine

Hotel well located on our route. The park is splendid with its majestic trees. We stayed in the annex where the rooms are very well renovated. The terrace is very pleasant; the downside remains the wait time to get a drink served: almost 25 minutes to be served (by going to ask someone at the front desk)! Dogs are accepted but be careful, not in the breakfast room (this had not been pointed out at the time of booking). The staff is helpful and pleasant. We will keep this address in mind.

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds. We stayed in the annexe part of the hotel which has been recently and beautifully refurbished. The rooms were lovely and cosy with a very comfortable bed. They provided dog bowls and dog bed for our small dog. We dined in the hotels sister hotel which was about a 10 minute walk away rather than eating in the main restaurant in the hotel as we wanted a more relaxed dining experience after driving all day. It’s a great location if you’re driving through France as not too far off on the motorway.

Very nice place (we stayed in the Gardens), (a small reserve of detail on the aesthetics of the bathroom). A very pleasant welcome. We were not able to enjoy much of the green spaces due to the weather conditions. We were also unable to discover the Michelin-starred restaurant (closed day), and this will be a reason to return. But it must be acknowledged that the bistro of the Cottage offered excellent cuisine with pleasant service and good value for money.
