MERCURE CENTRE

The hotel is to the expected standard of Macure. Service is atrocious… checked into a room which was already occupied whose intimate time was interrupted by my opening the door! To be moved to another room although clean had not been replenished with consumables. No internal phone call answered so another visit to reception to join a queue of patrons with key card issues. Then on visiting the bar for a drink with no staff, waiting at reception once more to find the receptionist is also the bar staff who would be with us next… after 25 minutes we left and went elsewhere.

The Mercure Grenoble Centre Alpotel hotel is totally unworthy of a 4-star hotel: room not air-conditioned at over 30 degrees inside, I was presented with a fait accompli at 10:00 PM, no replacement possible. This problem has been recurring for several years: my coworkers who stayed at this hotel 2 years earlier had warned us about this problem. Instruction for a requested air-conditioned room at the time of booking NOT respected. Front desk staff who seem to be interns.

After a massive storm whilst riding out motorcycles around europe we had to find somewhere to stay and fast due to the heavy rain. I booked this hotel as it was the closest i could see through my rain soaked glasses. However, it turned out to be ok and the kitchen staff were great as was the Bar Man. Very Clean, underground parking, Cheap enough and quiet. Food was great
