Mercure Lyon Charpennes

A very good hotel whose strong point is undeniably its location in relation to public transport... Everything is at the foot of the building (tram, subway, bus...) which is very appreciated. Staff and reception are very courteous, the room is clean, well-equipped, and quiet (we were on the 6th floor). Numerous restaurants in the vicinity. The only negative point is, in our opinion, the breakfast which is very decent but could be improved for a 4-star: no specialties as announced in the elevator (kouign-amann, praline brioche...) only fresh fruit salad with apples when it is strawberry season, no fruit salad on Sundays, one less jar of jam... It's really a shame because it could be perfect... Parking at a very reasonable rate... We are definitely noting this address for a possible return to Lyon.

Hotel strategically near metro and tram, so everything easily accessible. Excellent clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast is a bit meagre, but good quality. The parking at the hotel is an absolute plus, if it is just searching means good navigation to reach the entrance.
