We spent 4 days at the castle at the end of May and beginning of June; beautiful setting, attentive staff, nothing to say on that side; but on the room side, it does not meet expectations; unworthy of a 5-star Relais & Châteaux; for 500 euros a night, very average size, just the necessary comfort for the sanitary facilities; the downside is the heat; we were not in a heatwave and yet facing full sun it is unbearable; no air conditioning and the wall fabrics retain the heat; if we had not paid in advance, we would have left; at this moment I wish enjoyment to those who stay there! The staff is well aware of the situation!

Is this the best restaurant in Loire Atlantique? Yes, I do. The welcome and service by the Manon team are perfect, the cuisine of chef J.Coirier is exceptional (the spider is unforgettable and the ox cheek a treat!), the cozy setting , ultra privileged on the seafront at La Baule , is idyllic. It's not a meal we make at the Castel, it's memories we create. Thank you, bravo and warmly the star!
