ibis Styles Nantes Centre Place Royale

Nothing of a STYLES!! Not even a Red A place to avoid if you are looking for the style of styles. The floors and old bathrooms are very dirty.. Apart from the good mattress and the city center location, there is nothing good about it.

So..... I always try to be precise and respond objectively. The hotel is very well located, right next to the Royal Square, in the city center of Nantes. The staff is truly lovely. Whether at the reception, at breakfast, or on the floors. Everyone is really great and at your service. The breakfast room is pleasant, even if small and in the basement. The breakfast is quite varied, with a bit of savory and sweet. There is more than enough to satisfy everyone. The bedding is perfect, nothing to complain about. I had a closet in the room to store my belongings. Flat screen TV, desk. Good! Now the less pleasant part..... So .. Upon arriving in the hallway on the floors and also in the rooms, a terrible musty smell hit our noses. Upon inquiry, there was a sewage problem in the neighborhood and the dedicated services were supposed to come the day after our departure. Noted. Nevertheless, it is true that it is not great. The photos do not show it, but the carpets are a bit outdated. The bathroom was aging (bathtub not necessarily very clean, holes in the walls). I do not like writing this kind of comment, but it is mainly to prompt a response from the Accor group. Furthermore, having the habit of staying in Ibis Styles, I find that this one is aging and does not have the status of "STYLES", but just of IBIS. (Without it being derogatory for IBIS) Especially since "Ibis Styles offers budget hotels with a unique design for each establishment, most often inspired by the history of the neighborhood it occupies", well..... I have stayed in Ibis Styles that are much more "designed". This one is very aging and may not deserve this status. I hope the staff will not take offense at my comment, which is written solely to help improve things. Moreover, the wifi connection was catastrophic in the rooms....

Old hotel. Remember to eat breakfast outside (choice=0). Hotel sad.
