Hotel De Touraine

Not the best. Cheap but very basic. Would have paid a bit more for slightly better. Smelly entrance. Helpful staff. Wifi. Whole town closed by 6.00pm. Bathroom not good,slightly 3rd world. Clean sheets thankfully. Could not really recommend unless backpacking. Not the fault of the Hotel but a very boring and disapointing place.

...but the bathroom wasn't clean. In a hotel of this price range you can't really expect miracles, which I didn't. No lift, which was a bit tough as I had to go up two stories with a big suitcase. The room was small (normal in France). You have a choice between bathroom in the room or just the shower and the toilet down the hallway. I chose the first option but was disappointed to see that the hotel doesn't pay much attention to the cleanliness of the bathroom. The room could use a major renovation, or at least carpet cleaning and paint job. What worked well was the W-LAN, and the breakfeast was served at the table (no buffet), simple but good quality and sufficient quantity.
