La Scala

We spent one night there as a stopover. The welcome was warm and welcoming. The pleasant room: neat decor, quiet, comfortable bedding and unparalleled cleanliness. Not a grain of dust remained under our bare feet. Corners and baseboards are clean even behind doors! The bathroom and shower cabin have no trace of mold. We had a large terrace in front of our room lit by 2 French windows. The hotel's large (free) car park makes parking easy but could be a little neater. Too bad the adjoining restaurant is closed on Sunday evening. We would return without hesitation.

Premises are very nice and the staff is in extra care for customers. Well above the standards. The stay was very pleasant, All very nice till inside the details. A place where service has its meaning.... Thank you very much. We definitely return.

We were hoping to find a lovely charming hotel in the old town of Pithiviers but no luck. La Scala is a building without taste and an oily manager , where you could be miles away from real France. Breakfast comes the night before to be reheated in your bedroom. The room is very functional and clean . But food in the restaurant is OK and service good. On top of it they got the bill wrong! Totally overpriced (91€ for two without breakfast) . To be avoided. Isabelle from Dublin
