The Hôtel du Château is ideally located for visiting Rocamadour. We are really close to the center and the main sites, which makes it easy to do everything on foot. A real strong point of the establishment. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and pleasant. The breakfast is hearty and a great way to start the day. Regarding the rooms, that is clearly the weak point. The hotel could use a good refresh and the decor looks quite dated. We are close to the services of a low-end hotel in this regard. Then again, you also have to take the price into account: for one night and considering the rate, you shouldn't expect a high-end hotel. For our part, for a single night, it was perfect: exceptional location, friendly staff, and a hearty breakfast. A good place, especially for its location.

From the moment we arrived, the "makeshift" parking lot overlooking an abandoned tennis court set the tone. It is 3:00 PM, the room will be ready in about an hour. After a quick tour of the castle, we are taken to our room: the hallways are a bit aging, the terrace clearly has a problem since it is flooded with 3 cm of water. They open the air-conditioned room for us (it is 33 degrees outside) and when we ask if we can take towels to go to the pool, we are told that the pool is out of order. But that if we planned to have breakfast at the hotel, they would offer us breakfast for the whole stay! Since we wanted to have breakfast in town, no commercial gesture was made. The room is clean, but aging, the bathroom likewise. The kettle is inoperable unless you hold it next to the outlet since the cord is 8 cm long. So no, it is not a good deal, it is even a tad expensive. The staff is deserving and makes the best of a bad situation.

During our 2-night stay, green pool, room not made up, aging decor. The only positive point is its ideal location for visiting the city of Rocamadour, but that is not enough for a hotel that advertises 3 stars.
