Hotel Restaurant du Lion D’Or

In bed, you sleep... at least only until 6 a.m., when the lion roars in the ventilation system, like a continuous vacuum cleaner turbine. Bring earplugs, and even then! No way, nor any button to stop this dull noise that very quickly becomes annoying and seriously shortens the nights. And fortunately, I was not on the street side, the only street in Rocamadour, therefore the noisiest. Despite having reported it to the hotel and the promise to handle the problem. Nothing to be done. Nothing was done. This hotel enjoys a perfect location, almost a monopoly, so the minor inconveniences of the guests do not matter. Too bad! The hotel is very clean but the management is too disorganized. Up to two mistakes made on the reservation. I had forgotten. Besides, I am going to forget this hotel. Avoid if you want to sleep.

Very good, quiet hotel in the medieval city of Rocamadour. Very pleasant weekend

During our visit to Rocamadour, we stopped at the restaurant Le Lion d'Or because the dining room is air-conditioned (heatwave). Correct welcome. Formula under 20€. Good and hearty dishes. The view is exceptional. We ate for less than €25 per person. It's very good.
