We stayed one night in a two-story room. Basic, modern hotel in an excellent location to reach the Mont with a free shuttle. The room is clean but small, essential. No elevator or air conditioning, which with this year's heat is a significant shortcoming.

We recently stayed at Hôtel Gabriel while visiting Mont-Saint-Michel, and I was genuinely happy with my experience. The hotel is so cute. The staff are really nice, friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The only perk is that there’s no elevator. The hotel is just in front of the navette stop, which made it very easy to get around and transport ourselves. It is also like 5 min walk from the bus stop and around 25-30 min walk from the Mont Saint Michel if you consider walking there. The room we had was nice, clean and had everything we needed. It was a moderate size, but we fit perfectly and everything was good. The room upstairs was actually very big. The toilet was very nice as well. We had breakfast on our second morning, and it was cute as well. It doesn’t have that much variety—only two sorts of cheese, Corn Flakes, yogurt, juice, hot drinks, bread and butter, and eggs that you can boil yourself, plus croissants. But honestly, it was very fair for the small price you pay for it. So, in terms of value for money, I didn’t find it shocking at all. The weather there was also perfect. There’s no AC, but they gave us a fan, which was amazing and very powerful. I took a nap with the window open and the fan on, and it was perfect. The weather was so cool and nice that I slept like a baby and was very happy. Check-in is a bit late, around 5 PM I think, but we were lucky to be among the guests whose rooms were finished early. So yeah, I’m very happy with this cute experience, and I definitely recommend it.

Pros: proximity to Mont Saint-Michel, clean bathroom, very good welcome, clean and decent bedding, decent breakfast Cons: no elevator (nice for people with disabilities), carpet everywhere (hallways and rooms) not very shiny, vintage decoration in very poor taste, the rooms are not in their prime... very damaged and the whole thing doesn't look very clean as a result No A/C but fans available We cannot say that we had a bad experience but it does not deserve its 3 stars.
