Relais Du Roy Hotel

At over $200 a night, one could hope for a minimum level of service. After the high tides, back at 9:00 p.m.: impossible to have dinner, for lack of having been warned that we needed to make a reservation. And at the front desk: "Ah, oops, yes." A response on par with the service.

Practically in front of the shuttle stop for Mont Saint Michel. Check-in is at 4:00 PM, but we were able to leave the car as soon as we arrived at 11:00 AM and visit the village in peace. The rooms are a bit dated, with the toilet separated from the rest of the bathroom as often happens in France. And as found in other hotels, only a duvet on the bed, which in summer is unbearable due to the heat! Our room had a small terrace from which you could see the village. We didn't have breakfast; just past the parking lot entrance gate there are a couple of very good cafes and bakeries.

Except for the name: Roy.... Nothing royal about it! Shabby hotel with bathrooms (toilets) dating back to the 70s. Only the lobby makes a good impression. Very noisy hotel: you can hear footsteps from above, the noise from the road. As for the breakfast at 14€, it is shameful! Really "basic" At the price of 159€ per room... keep moving... Do not trust the photos on their website: stone fireplace and old wardrobe in a corner of a soulless dining room where they do not serve you any meals! No kitchen in the evening!!! A place to forget!!!
