MERCURE GRANVILLE GRAND LARGE

Arriving for a cool weekend, I had taken care to call the front desk to request a room change, because having booked a classic room at the last minute, I had seen on the Accor app the day before that a classic couture room had become available, certainly following a cancellation. Léonie therefore very kindly reserved the room for me, and offered the price supplement in view of my Diamond status: the weekend was starting well. The check-in was fast and professional. They took the care to call me as soon as the room was ready, even though it was a big, busy weekend for the hotel (August 15th). And what can I say about the room! The classic couture had a magnificent view of the harbor and the sea in the distance. The room is large, the bedding and pillows are pleasant, the bathroom is spacious. The decor is very pleasant! Small welcome gift in the room with the ALL card. A spacious balcony, in short, a superb room! The hotel has a direct elevator to the beach, which we were able to enjoy all weekend, it's great. A superb convenience. Welcome drink at the bar, on a terrace that offers a beautiful view of the sea. A small regret that this space is not better utilized, it could really be a magnificent rooftop. No problem for the free late checkout with the loyalty card. Very high-quality breakfast with fresh-squeezed apple and orange juice, local products, cheeses, delicious carrot cake, etc... The products are well-chosen and of high quality. It is rare to see a breakfast of this quality in a Mercure, especially with this view! Check-out without difficulty, fast. The staff is overall extremely friendly and helpful; they do everything to accommodate you. A pleasure to stay there; we can't wait to go back. You can go there with your eyes closed and enjoy this magnificent city of Granville.

We booked this hotel six months in advance with a request for a quiet room on an upper floor. We ended up with a room on the ground floor next to the elevators and with a view of the breakfast patio. Since it is August, there was no option to change rooms, and we are here for three nights. The hotel is like a large corporate chain, with an attitude of "so sorry, but there's nothing we can do" said in a way that we know the true meaning. If you can get a great deal here, the location is good, but don't come looking for anything beyond that. Based on this experience, I will never stay in a Mercure again

The location is ideal—situated right on the coastal promenade and beach, putting you within easy walking distance of all the town's key sights. If you are looking for a relaxing coastal getaway with a charming old-town feel, this hotel is a perfect fit. Everything revolves around the guests' wellbeing at this hotel, from the moment I checked in to checkout, all the staff smiled and was very friendly. I stayed in the Couture Classic Room, which was beautifully kept, very comfortable and featured a lovely balcony for unwinding in the evening. The housekeeping team (everyone during my 9-day stay) deserves special mention for being so attentive yet wonderfully discreet—a balance that is difficult to find in many hotels today. The breakfast was really nice, catering particularly well to anyone looking for balanced, healthy options on holiday. The selection offered everything from fresh fruit to reliable protein-rich choices. The team taking care of the breakfast every morning was also well organized and equally discreet allowing the guests to enjoy late breakfast until 11 am with a stunning sea view from the breakfast room. What truly impressed me was how the team handled a situation on my departure day. Having not pre-booked transport, I was caught off guard by the limited availability of taxis and Ubers in Granville and was at serious risk of missing my train to Paris (and my flight). Both the reception staff and the management stepped in immediately, showing incredible initiative and genuine warmth to secure a last-minute solution for me. It is rare to see a team so genuinely committed, efficient and thoughtful. I am very grateful for the team's kindness and hospitality. Excellent service from start to finish, everything seemed so effortless although of course it's professionalism at its best —my sincere compliments to the management and staff.
