Awful room smelt of smoke sheets smelt of wee, too late to look for another hotel as last minute check in on way back from Switzerland drove as far as we could needed somewhere just to crash, this was our only choice. We had to put our hand inside the cistern to flush the loo there was no loo roll light fittings by bed all showing bare wires a real H&S issue should have slept in our van not a nice experience. On the plus side reception was open and man was very pleasant.

We stayed at Mr.Bed for one night during our return from Holland to Catalonia. The price is very cheap but the hotel smells bad, the room is very poor, smells tobacco and it was not very clean and the wifi didn't work. We have gone to F1, Premiere clase and other cheap hotels that are ok but not this one.
Definitely our first and last visit.

We booked just one night at Mister Bed as we were driving through and just needed a cheap but comfortable place to stay. We arrived late at night at around midnight after a whole day of driving down from UK so we were exhausted.
First we had trouble finding the place as the address (as on their website) we put in our GPS did not take us to the right location. Luckily we asked 2 policemen on the road for directions and we got a police escort to the place which was quite funny! :) We were grateful for that though as it wouldn't have been that easy to find otherwise, in the middle of the night.
We checked in - receptionist hardly knew any English but I know some french so we managed to communicate. We took our luggage up 2 flights of stairs (no lift available). When we got to our room we found that the room only had a toilet and sink - the showers were communal in the corridor - this was NOT mentioned on the website at the time of booking.
It was July so the room was quite hot but there was no air conditioning or even a fan in the room. I went back down (no phone in the room) to ask the receptionist and she said they "only have heating for the window - perhaps I should just open the window". So I go back upstairs and open the window - although there is a notice near the window saying that leaving the window open during the day or at night is at our own risk... the window leads out to a terrace which can be easily accessed by anyone from other rooms!! So we didn't feel that safe.
We were exhausted and had an early start so we conked out in bed and at least got a good night's sleep.
We chose to pay for the breakfast which included a small selection of cereal, bread, yoghurt and some fruit.
All in all - we went there with an open mind as we were on a budget and wanted somewhere cheap. Our only disappointment was that they weren't upfront about things on their website so that at least you can know what you're paying for!
