Premiere Classe Dunkerque Est - Armbouts Cappel

Doors don’t lock properly, our room had so many bugs and beetles. Walls are paper thin, you can hear everyone’s conversations, everyone above you sounds like elephants. Breakfast service is 7:00-11:00. We went at 10:00am but were refused service, but the French family who went in were served 🙃 Only positives were the beds were comfy and big enough.

We spent 2 nights there. Marjorie at the front desk is very, very kind. Regarding the rooms, the cleaning is very basic. The sheets were clean. However, major downsides: no air conditioning and the lack of manners of the guests! Music at all hours, shouting in the hallways. The walls are super thin, so you hear everything. For a short stay it is okay, but not for longer.

I stayed in the Premiere Classe Dunkerque Est Armbouts Cappel on the night of 14 Jul 2026 with my family (2 Adults and 1 child). The receptionist came into my room without knocking at 0515 in the morning. My family were worried by this action; when confronted (I went down to reception) he had no explanation for entering the room without knocking apart from ‘checking you were still in the hotel’. The previous night I had complained because on arrival there were ants in the room; after going to the reception he said there was ‘nothing he can do’. I asked for another room and he said he was ‘fully booked’; however, the hotel did not look fully booked. He was also holding a card (room 46) and implied he did have another room. In the end he gave me ‘floor cleaner’ (not insect spray). I requested a refund and I wanted to move hotel but he said he could not do that (I subsequently tried to call the Premiere Classe telephone line to request a refund but it was closed (2230)). Furthermore, when speaking to the employee at close proximity he smelt like he had been drinking alcohol and was openly smoking in front of me (it smelt (from my understating) like an illegal substance).
