Ibis Dunkerque Centre

Very pleasant, quiet, very clean hotel of recent construction, very good welcome, friendly staff, well-equipped room, very comfortable bedding, 500 meters from the heart of Dunkirk, super, very complete breakfast. I recommend it, very good value for money.

We booked a night here as the final stop of our family road trip before taking the ferry home from Dunkirk, and it worked out brilliantly. The room was fantastic and genuinely massive, offering more than enough space to comfortably accommodate a family of four with all our luggage. While the air conditioning wasn’t the strongest, it took the edge off and was certainly better than having none. The staff were amazing and really friendly and helpful If you want on-site parking, make sure you pre-book in advance. It was fully booked when we arrived, but the staff were extremely helpful and guided us to free on-street parking just a short walk away. The hotel is right in the city centre and the whole area felt very safe and walkable. Dunkirk itself made for a wonderful visit. We went to the Dunkirk 1940 Operation Dynamo museum, which was fantastic and well worth the time. Taking a walk along the beach afterwards was quite moving and sobering considering the history, but the promenade itself is lovely with plenty of great seaside restaurants. A comfortable, hassle-free stay in a great location for catching the ferry. We would definitely return.

Very good one-week stay. Very pleasant welcome. Clean room and decent bedding. Very quiet. Excellent quality breakfast
