We stayed during the last week in July for 3 nights. Our impression was very mixed.
The communication prior to our stay and on arrival was very positive and we were pleased to be upgraded to a City View Executive King room.
The location is perfect being next to the Eurostar station.
The room on the 10th floor was delightful with a very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with great shower and separate toilet. However the lack of a decent table seems a strange omission - there is only a very small round table, certainly insufficient for an executive room.
The real issue in the room that we experienced was the lack of replenishment of basics like tea, coffee and milk and we had to ask three times for the body lotion container to be replaced.
Previous guests have reported upon inadequacies with the Executive lounge and the issues have not been addressed. The level of food on offer was so poor on the two occasions that we visited - only two or three pieces of food and the drinks on offer were extremely limited - one bottle of Chardonnay (probably the worst white wine ever produced), one type of beer, no shorts on the first night. We have had much better food fare and way more alcohol offerings in Doubletree Executive rooms like the week before in London where the food offering was excellent and the level of drinks offered was extensive.
To be fair the staff were very good at providing the request for alternative wines and we did get a complimentary chicken goujon salad on the first night.
We firmly believe that the Executive room idea is a top Hilton facility but it needs to be done properly and taken seriously otherwise it's not worth having one.
The buffet breakfast was reasonable.

After 3 weeks travelling around the North of France the Hilton was supposed to be a treat. What a disappointment. The car parking is terrible under the railway station and the escalator was broken. And it cost £43 for 1 night!! The person on reception wasn't helpful at all. No smile of greeting, come on, if this is the face of the Hilton hotel chain you must do better. The room was OK. No better than a Premier Inn though. We didn't have breakfast, goodness knows what it would have cost! Made me pleased to be home though!!

What a great Hilton this is
Our room 803 and our friends 802 were very good
It’s quite a new hotel but the attention to detail is first class
The beds, bedding and furnishings are excellent
The staff are attentive ( with the exception of the bar man on Sat night who was rude )
