Hotel Arcadie Montparnasse

This is our fourth visit to Hotel Arcadie over the years. Our key reason for staying in Montparnasse is ease of getting to from CDG (direct to Denfert Rocherau with the hotel about 10 minutes walk) and to Gare Montparnasse (about 5 minutes walk) for TGVs southwest. We actually usually go to metro Montparnasse but the walk is about the same as Denfert, just undercover mostly. The hotel is charming and classic. Rooms are typical for Paris - we get street view with a bath, and there's plenty of room. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and a tad quirky. The staff are very friendly, efficient and very willing to help in any way. The rooms are meticulously clean, and well appointed - with air conditioning (which we were eternally grateful for as we stayed in the middle of an extreme heat wave), TV, coffee/tea making, WiFi, bar fridge, safe, wardrobe, hair dryer, shower over bath (it's a fairly deep bath so care needs to be taken getting in or out). Breakfast is a good buffet style spread - bacon, eggs (scrambled and boiled), sausages, a good selection of breads and pastries, yogurts , fruits, cheeses and sliced meats, muesli, juices, plus pot of coffee, tea or hot chocolate each. For sights, the hotel is close to Montparnasse cemetery, catacombs, jardin Atlantique (on top of Gare Montparnasse), an walking distance to jardin du Luxembourg. It's about about 3km walk to both Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame (in different directions) and the walk to each goes through great Parisian communities.

They charge twice and do nothing to resolve it. It has been requested several times for them to fix it, and they have not done so; they have kept 256 euros that belong to me.

Everything was very good, location in front of Montparnasse station in an area with plenty of restaurants Welcome on the evening very nice Comfortable room with necessary breakfast coffee and tea, a fridge a bathroom 2 comfortable beds breakfast, very good and hearty Good pastries And kindness of the staff!
