Hotel is apparently for a few years already operating as VLH Hotel Montparnasse Eiffel. Terrible experience. Room was tiny beyond imagination, not even a place to put a suitcase down in the room. Service was horrible, could not get out of hotel in early morning with nobody around anywhere or responding to bell or phones. An unacceptable safety flaw.

Perfect location. With two different Metro lines available and Montparnsse station. Quiet and quiet area. Small and clean rooms. The small bathroom as well as the sink. Very comfortable bed. Staff helpful and speaking good English. The breakfast I did not try because it was considered too expensive at the time of booking. I preferred to have breakfast in one of the many cafes/bars in the area. In the area, 5 minutes walk, to emphasize, the presence of a Carrefour express where you can buy basic necessities such as water (given the high costs in the premises). Recommended.

The ventilation system seemed toxic. Every time we were in the room, we were sick. Outside we were better. The staff acknowledged this and tried to fix it but could not. Only after many heated discussions did they change our room and the same thing occurred in the new room. We left Paris and were not sick for the rest of our vacation. What bothers me most was the staff knew there was a problem and avoided me until I was in front of them at the lobby desk. This is the first negative review I have written after many years of vacations and warn you against staying at this hotel. Find another one where they won't lie to you and you won't get sick.
