The reservation was originally made under the "Pay at the establishment" option. However, contrary to these conditions, the hotel attempted to make a total pre-authorization charge, sending an email stating that 14 days before arrival, which was accepted without issue. Since this charge was not processed correctly within 24 hours, which they did without notice, the hotel system automatically canceled the reservation, and we could no longer reactivate it because they say their system automatically processes these pre-authorizations.

The staff was great and the room was as shown in the pictures. However, the room was dark even with all the lights on and breakfast (which I declined), came at an additional price. The shower head was also difficult to secure making showering less enjoyable for fear of being whacked in the head. I wound up staying at another hotel for the rest of my trip and the difference in value for money with a wonderful breakfast included made me regret my time at Hotel Baudelaire Opera.

Hotel in an excellent location, very courteous and helpful staff, the rooms need some updates; there was no air conditioning during the three days we stayed, it was extremely hot, and it was difficult to rest. Good for the service provided.
