Lemon Hotel Saint Omer

We booked this hotel as we thought we would need one after a planned 27km bike ride (the rest of the holiday was in the camper van) unfortunately I wasn't very well so the bike ride was postponed. The facilities were just as planned, simple, clean (ish-there was a mustly smell in our room) and uncomplicated. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. I just wasn't keen on the number of cats at the front door.

Over the past number of years, we have used Lemon Hotels about a couple of dozen times. Not every experience has been good, but the Arques venue has never let us down. Because of "Les Gilets Jaunes", we arrived after the Reception had closed. However, knowing that we had booked, and knowing us from our many previous visits, the young man who was on duty had waited for us! That, I would contend, is service above, and beyond, the call of duty! As always in Arques, our room was clean and fresh. The microwave provided meant that we were able to have microwave meals that we had purchased 'en route' as we had not had the time to stop for a meal. Breakfast is never a posh affair, but we eat adequately, and the food is good.

Booked a lovely weekend away got to hotel smell of smoke sickening walls dirty table scratch and dirty. Toilets and shower in corridor shower towels Tiny. 're booked hotel in town. In industrial area. If you were a man on your own probaly ok. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in 40 years.
