BEST WESTERN FERME DU MOULIN AUX DRAPS

Low-level services, I expected a little better.

I led a school trip for GCSE students of French during the recent Easter holidays. We have previously booked two trips with Voyager and were already confident that the animateurs at the centre would meet our objectives of increasing our pupils' confidence in spoken and written French. The staff were extremely welcoming and engaging and provided on-site activities such as bread-making, orienteering, archery, team-building and aeroball ( a kind of trampoline basketball game). They also accompanied us to sites such as Nausicaa, the largest aquarium in Europe. On site, pupils were accommodated in dormitory-style rooms and served meals family-style. They were provided with evening activities that were another opportunity to practise their French. Although on any such trip there will be pupils who are not used to the food/room sharing etc, we felt that the trip was extremely beneficial to all and would certainly visit again the next time we run a trip.

i stayed here with school (14-16 year old kids) to support our french gcse, the location is pretty good since it’s around 30-40 minutes away from good locations + activities held by the hotel and they have onsite activities like archery, aeroball, breadmaking etc. these activities are good but the food here is genuinely unforgivable - either raw, overcooked or just atrocious in flavour which is why i heavily advise to have your own food or you will most likely go hungry. the water here isn’t great either, i didn’t have bugs or limescale like other reviews but it’s definitely not nice tasting water - do not drink from the taps !! finally, the rooms are insanely cramped ( and kinda dirty ) with practically no room to put your suitcases/bags in which is kinda understandable but then makes the room even more cramped with zero space to move. overall it’s not great but not terrible.
