Le Manoir Hotel

Very good experience at the Manor, the room was spacious in an annex in the middle of the garden, with a private terrace and close to the pool. The breakfast is tasty.

A real gem of a hotel. Comfortable, well designed rooms which were spacious and stylish. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were lovely and we had a delicious meal in the bar. The pool was perfect in the warm weather with comfortable sun loungers and Le Touquet itself was within easy reach with a good selection of shops and restaurants. Lots of old school charm, we can’t wait to come back.

We have had a nice stay overall, but unfortunately there are some points that make sure we would not come back soon. The rooms are neat and the beds sleep excellently. Nevertheless, we found the value for money disappointing. Especially the prices in the hotel are excessive: €5 for a Coke and €11 for a draught beer are really out of proportion. The service also regularly left us disappointed. The English of many employees is limited and customer friendliness could really be better. An example: we bought a bottle of rosé at the golf course, which is owned by the same owner as the hotel. When we wanted to drink these by the pool, we suddenly had to pay €10 extra. That felt unnecessary and unhospitable. In addition, on a hot day we wanted to get a quick drink at the pool bar. We had to put on shoes and a shirt first. That is of course a house rule and we understand that, but the way employee Celine communicated this was anything but friendly. Also the breakfast we found very pricey for what you get. Our advice: skip breakfast and get something at the Lidl nearby. Luckily the golf courses are fantastic. Especially Le Dunes is an absolute must. The course is beautiful and the atmosphere is great, especially when people on the terrace cheer you on after a nice stroke over the water. All in all: a great location for a golf holiday, but due to the high prices, mediocre service and lack of hospitality we would not book this hotel again.
