Hotel Residence Orhoitza

We particularly enjoyed our stay in Hendaye at the Hôtel Orhoitza. An ideal setting 50 meters from the Grande Plage, a magnificent view of the Pyrenees, and an open pool available for use. Our trip leader and guide, Basque by birth and very friendly, helped us discover his region and the culture of the Basque Country with very interesting and also practically useful commentary. Overall, the hotel service is very satisfactory. However, a special commendation to the kitchen team who served us high-quality meals all week with remarkable plate presentation. A service worthy of a fine dining restaurant, with a significant advantage: no waste. Bravo to the head chef and his team.

Second very pleasant one-week stay in this charming hotel ideally located near the beach and the marina. Very beautiful terrace and large, very clean swimming pool. Air-conditioned, spacious, and nicely renovated room, just like the bathroom. Delicious and varied cuisine. Smiling, warm, and attentive staff. Small downside this year: presence throughout the week of 2 groups (about 60 people), which caused a lot of noise especially during meals and massive occupation of common areas. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and always available. The meals were varied and hearty. The room was very clean. I recommend it. I would return with pleasure.
