Couett'hotel Oloron-Sainte-Marie

Stayed here on way to Spain. Arrived late and left early so only needed a nice place for a few hours sleep. Didn’t get one here. We stayed when the heat wave was on. The air conditioning was not working and no-one spoke English on the phone we were told to ring as reception was closed. They were very unhelpful and couldn’t solve the problem. We couldn’t leave our window open as it opened direct onto the corridor serving all the rooms. A really uncomfortable night with very little sleep. We left as early as we could. Never again

Looked dirty from outside. Arrived 3pm so could visit town. No reception until 5pm so could not look at room. Didn't hold out much hope so went elsewhere. For 50 euro a night you could find better. On edge of town near traveller site. Not very nice area. Traffic busy.

This budget hotel closed down a few years ago,but has recently re~opened as a Couett hotel. It is still a budget hotel,somewhat refurbished.Comfortable beds,clean and bright decor,very good shower. Only minus point is the WC is very small and cramped. The major minus point is the breakfast,burnt crossantes,hard rolls,terrible coffee . All very sparse for the price.No evening meals,but it seems they were planning to introduce these for the Winter skiing season. I would not stay there again unless there was no other choice
