Hotel La Lagune

The rooms are overlooked; the suite we were assigned was in a busy corner, glassed in on 3 sides with a direct view of the restaurant. After discussing it with the front desk, we had the opportunity to change rooms. No evening room service; we had to ask for it even though it is a 5-star hotel. The private beach is limited to a row of lounge chairs just below the restaurant; the name is accurate, but it does not correspond to the expected service. At breakfast, you have to constantly ask for the buffet to be restocked; tables are not cleared as you go. Regarding the restaurant, L’Almandin, the maître d’ does not treat local clientele and transient hotel guests the same way. He does not accept criticism; for the "fish not cooked enough" comment, he thought it was normal: the fish was pearly, he has an answer for everything and always to his advantage. We had mentioned when booking that it was our wedding anniversary; no special attention, the staff is clueless. The chef did not come out of his kitchen because the excuse given was: he is too busy. We also had a meal at L’Almandin the day before; the staff was more attentive, but the chef did not come out of his kitchen except to greet one table. A Relais & Châteaux and Michelin-starred establishment that is not in line with the services that should be provided. Evasive staff who are afraid of being asked for anything.

Perfect, charming establishment. Room, kitchen, spa, place

5-star family road trip for our son's 20th birthday. So we booked a suite with a garden. The lack of privacy is far too present for this type of service; you have a view of your neighbors and they have a view of your bed!!, due to the fact that the sheer curtain is not continuous across the bay window... (see photo) this is not acceptable. The minibar does not cool drinks in over 30° weather, yet it is essential. The jacuzzi works randomly. The footsteps of the occupants upstairs make you live a public housing experience... Breakfast not up to the standards of this type of establishment; a menu is available, but no one comes to take your order. The cleaning is average (see photo), a number of details that do not pass in this type of establishment; the price-quality ratio is not there. For information, the day before, we had been staying for several days in an establishment of the same category and were therefore able to compare the differences in services between the two establishments.
