Pierre & Vacances Premium Arc 1950 Le Village

Quiet and far from the heat wave. The resort offers a safe and family-friendly environment. Sports activities to come here with friends

Our stay went very well overall, the location and the facilities being pleasant. However, several points clearly tarnished the experience and are not representative of what Pierre & Vacances used to offer. • Access to the hot tub: it is very difficult to enjoy it peacefully. Many children play in it unsupervised, sometimes even accompanied by parents who do not wish to respect the posted rules. This creates a noisy and unsafe atmosphere, even though this area is supposed to be dedicated to relaxation. • Access to the balcony: for the same price of stay, some vacationers benefit from a balcony, with the only instruction being to “remain discreet” regarding others. It is frankly pathetic. We paid the same rate without benefiting from the same services, which gives an impression of unfairness and approximate organization. • Accommodation equipment: the kitchen clearly lacks essentials. No cake pan, no oven mitts… For a stay of this standard, these are basics. A simple Airbnb provides more equipment than that. • Maintenance and supplies: the rooms are only cleaned and the sheets/towels changed after 11 nights, which is extremely long. We only had one roll of toilet paper and two tiny 3-in-1 soap bars for the entire duration of the stay! This level of service is very inadequate. • Staff behavior: we were also surprised by the lack of courtesy from some employees, particularly the housekeeping staff. Rude attitude, lack of greetings. Furthermore, the employees use the elevators without giving priority to vacationers, which forced us to wait several times for an elevator to finally be free. For a tourist establishment, this lack of consideration is very regrettable. Ultimately, we really feel that Pierre & Vacances is looking to maximize savings, to the detriment of the vacationers' comfort. We pay for accommodation, but also for a minimum level of service, which was not the case. At that price, we should not have to "bring our whole house" to be able to properly enjoy our vacation. We sincerely hope that these points will be taken into account, because this is not the image of Pierre & Vacances that we knew.

Nearly everything about our stay was better than I had read in reviews and exceeded my low expectations. We stayed in Prince de cimes, level 6, self catering Pros - so easy to unpack car despite needing two lifts as could park directly under the building and provided airport style trolleys to help ferry up bags. - apartment was good size, very well equipped with new kitchen appliances - fab full size oven, toaster, Nespresso, filter coffee machine, food size fridge with smaller freezer tray, microwave, dishwasher which worked perfectly and induction hob. Really no complaints and made cooking very easy. - we did bring a number of preprepared meals frozen to make prep easier. - loved we could hire for free from reception a raclette machine. Not well marketed but great extra touch - my son loved there was a piano to play in reception and board games to borrow - pool was nice if a little cold. Outside pool not open and one small jacuzzi - loads of storage in the apartment - balcony was open with table and chairs which was fab, and not expected as was told it was out of use. - apartment was in an amazing location, directly below cabriolet right in the middle of town, close to all the amenities. Well stocked Carrefour and bakery directly outside reception and attached to ski-set hire shop so don't even need to go outside! - 1950 resort was amazing! We came at end of the season were large snow melt but they made so much effort to keep resort looking white and snowy throughout the village, immaculate ly kept with no rubbish in sight. Entertainment in the main square every evening even with it being end of season. Can't think of a better resort to bring small children. Everything so close by, no cars, easy ski in/out. Perfect Cons - sofa and seating was tired and pretty dirty - apartment overall was not that clean - hard tiled floors were absolutely filthy - bed spreads had dog hair on them - bed linen had others hair on it - 2nd bathroom smelt very drainy /sewage so we couldn't use it. We only used it for drying kit. We accidentally left the door open whilst out one day and it made our whole apartment small- it was terrible. - seperate toilet smelt like a urinal - strong urine smell I assume from poor cleaning and likely the tiles not being cleaned. Was really quite foul. -
