Ibis Fontainebleau

We spend a lot of time at Ibis hotels but mostly in Germany. We're satisfied with that, too. They are standard hotels but the hygiene is good. You expect this standard anywhere in the world in hotels of the same brand. But in France, hygiene rather leaves something to be desired. The room was recently refreshed in terms of paintings, glass panel and tiles in shower. But on the bathroom door and the walls around the sink were all stains and streaks (runners). Was this dried water or something worse? This thorough polishing would be desirable. Also it was a very small room. Fortunately for a city and castle visit and only 2 nights so you don't spend much time in the room. The air conditioning worked but made a lot of noise, the light of the screen gave off a lot of light at night and the desired temperature of 20 degrees was not reached, it was warmer anyway. Bed and pillows were good. Because we were on the third floor, the wall on the side of the window sloped so that the curtain slanted and there was also a lot of light coming in along the side of the window from 5.30 in the morning. Carpet on the floors is also not hygienic and there was a lot of dirt in the corners. The brushing can be more thorough. Breakfast from 6h30 to 10h00 and at 9h to 9h30 there is already a lot on and not so much is replenished. There was quite a lot of choice but not very extensive. The staff is ça va, on its French: not rude but also not welcoming. Like they have to work there and don't do this with so much enthusiasm.

Great location to visit the castle which is 2 steps away. The hotel is quiet but the rooms are really cramped and are starting to get a little rough. Exceptional breakfast for an ibis hotel. Located in a pedestrian street, there is no parking so obligation to park in the paid parking of the castle, which is not given. Fortunately it is free at night. A little smile at the front desk would not be too much.

To escape, very bad experience, customer satisfaction is not the priority of this hotel, you will find much better as Service a little further
