Ibis Rouen Centre Rive Gauche St Sever

We spent one night in this hotel and I find it convenient for one night. It is a bit off-center from the historic center (about twenty minutes on foot from the cathedral, about thirty from the train station), but remains easily accessible and a self-service bike station is located right in front. Our room was basic, but rather spacious and the bedding was comfortable. On the other hand, we found that the lack of a trash can (neither in the bathroom nor in the room) was rather inconvenient (we didn't necessarily want to take certain bathroom waste with us, but we didn't want to leave it as is for the housekeeper...). Furthermore, the overall cleanliness left a little to be desired and we only had one towel per person (which can be a bit stingy, you have to use the same one for your body, face, and hair). The value for money remains interesting, however.

The hotel is located on the left bank of the river, so not exactly in the historic center, which is still reachable on foot with a 10/15 minute walk. There is an underground parking garage (for a fee) right under the hotel, so it is particularly convenient for handling luggage and preferable to street parking, considering the area. Our room was not particularly spacious, but it was still equipped with all the comforts, while the bathroom was quite spacious and practical. Breakfast is served in a rather spartan room, but it is standard and buffet-style.

Courteous and professional welcome. The parking lot is easily accessible. A real plus in urban areas. Even if the hotel is not located in a prime area, it is located near the city center. However, the hotel needs some investments (carpets, finishes...). We especially noticed a huge effort needed regarding cleanliness (dirt in the hallway, stained sheets, marks in the bathroom).
