MERCURE CENTRE

Very pleasant welcome, comfortable standard room. Located right in the center of Rouen. Not a sound at night. The breakfast with so many choices, like nothing I've ever seen! And everything is of high quality: eggs in various forms, good cold cuts, plenty of excellent cheeses, fruits, melon, watermelon, oranges and grapefruit cut up, apples in several forms, raw, cooked, Norman pies, ...yogurts, cream cheese, whipped cream, ... Only downside: the shabby staircase: very narrow, quite dirty.... But if the hotel is reading this, there is a solution. You could transform the outdoor staircase into a beautiful staircase, integrating it into the covered building.

This hotel is in the perfect spot to explore Rouen. It is right in the heart of so many historic sights, it is also adjacent to the shopping district and within walking distance of so many wonderful restaurants. Free refreshments were restocked daily in our room refrigerator which is such a nice touch! The rooms were good sized, clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was kind, patient and very accommodating. Now let's talk about the parking. If you follow the instructions that the hotel sends you prior to your arrival, then parking is not difficult at all. The instructions were simple to follow and precise. The parking garage is tight so don't bring a large vehicle. I would stay here again without hesitation!

We stayed here for two nights with a group trip - and we were very satisfied. Rooms pleasantly large, beds okay. A small downside is the view into the dreary courtyard. The truly opulent and diverse breakfast buffet with exquisite regional specialties deserves an extra star! The staff is very attentive and accommodating. All attractions are within walking distance, which is very convenient, as there is much to see! For individual travelers, access by car is somewhat difficult.
