I had two nights booked at this property in August 2020. I left after night one. It was unbearably hot, but the window did not stay open so I had to wedge it with a rolled up towel. Problem was that the window was big and accessible enough for anyone to be able to climb in. Young children of other guests were outside screaming and crying until the early hours, someone spent an hour knocking on what seemed to be almost every door in the hotel. The staff member I sadly had to deal with was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I speak reasonable french, but i don't tolerate mumbling in any language, and expressed this in english - big mistake! He consequently ignored me and dealt with the french family behind me. He decided that there would be no further communication and so after I was given my key, I had to guess when and where breakfast was supposed to be and what the wifi password was (and when I eventually found it, it didn't work). In my haste to leave, I threw the key card at the receptionist and ate breakfast elsewhere. Thankfully, I was able to get much more comfortable and safe accommodation elsewhere but sadly I am out of pocket and can't claim it back. I guess you can't put a price on feeling safe, especially when travelling with a child. My advice - avoid at all costs. I would give zero stars if I could.

Not a pleasant experience at all, the rooms are set out in a square with four levels, all sound reverberates around the square, it is clear that a lot of the rooms are being used for social housing purposes. There are always groups of youths hanging around in the hotel and the square, it creates a hostile unsafe feeling. The rooms are very basic but they are clean, the shower tray in our room has seen the best of its days, looks like somebody has put their foot through it at some time in the past and a botched repair took place. The biggest issue is noise, people noise all through the night, shouting, screaming, arguing, slamming doors, unfortunately the constant noise all night long prevents any sleep being possible. The local area also has an air of menace about it, the area around the Gare St Denis at night is not somewhere white Caucasians should find themselves, sounds racist I know but believe me, having experienced it, in the interest of people’s safety, others should not find out the hard way.

Avoid! Whole hotel smells really bad. There is mold in the bathroom. its So noisy you can't sleep at night. When confronted the receptionist with pictures of the bathroom he told me the pictures are fake.( when I offered to come with me to the room he refused coming with me). Seems like every door in the hotel is squeeky and you can hear it ( yes... All night long) children are playing in this middle bit of the hotel... What's wrong with that? Well it was 11:45pm and they were still out there making lots of noise. I also noticed that water in shover doesn't get hot... Its rather warm. WiFi doesn't work in the rooms ( 3rd floor). Will never come back!!! Avoid this hotel is you can
