Hotel Residence Des Arts

My husband and I stayed two nights here as part of a larger European trip. I chose this hotel because we stayed in the 9th the last time we were in Paris three years ago, and I wanted to try a new area. The hotel is conveniently located, however ***The Metro stop (St. Michel) is currently closed/under construction until (I believe) February 2027***. The hotel offers a car service to and from CDG, and honestly, I would've done that had I known there were going to be multiple Metro closures. I had originally booked their sister hotel across the street (Villa d'Estrees), but I noticed that those rooms don't have showers, only bathtubs. (Also, FYI, as of right now--July 2026--there appeared to be some construction going on at Villa d'Estrees. You might want to call and inquire about that if you're coming soon.) We switched to Residences des Arts, whose rooms have been completely renovated. Our room had heated floors in the bathroom and yes, a nice spacious shower. It is also air-conditioned, which was crucial because Paris was HOT. The elevator is very, very small, so plan the very real possibility of climbing a curved staircase up to your room while schlepping your luggage with you because it won't fit in the elevator. The hotel is close to tons of restaurants and bars (go over to Rue de la Huchette, which is jam-packed with places to eat and drink). We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel because we preferred to find somewhere to eat outside and people watch. Again, there are lots of places within walking-distance of the hotel for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again!

My family of four (2 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 10) traveled to Europe for the first time, and this was the best hotel experience we had during our three-week trip. We stayed in six hotels total, and this one stood out above the rest. We stayed in the Junior Suite and were so grateful to find a place in Paris that could accommodate all four of us in one room. Our room had air conditioning, which was by far the biggest perk since we were visiting during a heat wave. The room was clean, housekeeping serviced it daily, and the beds were very comfortable (a queen bed plus a sofa bed for our kids). There was also a small bar/eating area, which was great because we ate several meals in the room. A Franprix grocery store and a self-service laundromat (Julice Laverie) were both about a six-minute walk from the hotel, which was very convenient. The mini refrigerator in the room was also a nice bonus. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel during our stay, so I can't comment on that. The only minor downside was the elevator—it was very small and could only fit two adults at a time, so if you're traveling with luggage, you may need to make a few trips.
