ibis Paris Ornano Montmartre Nord 18eme

My family stayed at this hotel for two nights. The location is good, it is very close to a McDonalds and there is a Lidl at the bottom of the street. The hotel was good, it was clean, although the shower was clogged, it wouldn't drain. The first night, at midnight it sounded like someone was moving furniture, it was very loud and was clearly happening inside the hotel, this happened for both nights. The first morning that we woke up, someone was knocking on our door at 10am, and we were trying to have a lie in as we were extremely tired, it was a cleaner trying to clean the room I think, I'm not sure as she only spoke French, she kept repeating a word in French and then she went away, I was okay with this and didn't complain because we didn't have the do not disturb sign on the door, so I made sure to put it on the door for the next day. The furniture moving continued throughout the night. Check out was at 12 and it was 11:30 and we were just about to leave as someone knocked on the door, the do not disturb sign was on the door, it was the cleaner again wanting to clean the room, we said 2 minutes and she just waited outside the room on us leaving. I wouldn't have cared if the do not disturb sign wasn't on the door, like the first night, but it was on the door, and if it was 12 or after 12 I wouldn't have minded but it wasn't 12 yet, so I was very mad about this.

Arrived, waited to check-in, discovered the lift was not working as we were going up the stairs with bags, was given room on second floor, asked to be moved to first floor as had bad knee, staff couldn't be bothered at all, lift was out of service from time of arrival Mon to when we left Fri. Room was cleaned every day which was great, no tea and coffee facilities in the room. Relied on coffee machine downstairs however there was no cold milk outside breakfast time. I found staff to have been unhelpful

When I arrived there was no person at reception. I waited for about five minutes before a surly man arrived. He proceeded to check me in without speaking. I was allocated a room on the 6th floor only to discover the lift hasn’t been working since May. As I’m almost 70 and had two bags I asked to be moved. He refused and dismissed me. A porter did help with one bag. When I went to go to bed I discovered the air conditioning wasn’t working! No power to the wall unit. Having just spent 12 weeks on three continents and nine countries this hotel is the worst! Accor hang your head in shame
