La Courtesie

A wonderful experience, exceeded all expectations. Visited La Courtesie the week of my sister's wedding and enjoyed a perfect Provencal experience. The owners are absolutely lovely, engaging, accommodating -- always willing to help if we needed anything at all. The premises are beautiful and modern -- with air conditioning, private patios with beautiful deck furniture, updated bathrooms. The B&B rooms are better than my own home! Breakfast in the AM is a must, mainly to enjoy chatting with the owners and enjoy unlimited coffee or tea (in addition to yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, cheese/meat platter). There is a beautiful pool on the property, laundry facilities, cute dogs, and parking spaces. Wish I could visit them again soon!!

We stayed here for one night as part of a self guided cycling tour. La Courtesie is a traditional French B&B. We stayed in a room next to the house - but so quiet we could have been in Te middle of nowhere. Our hosts, Philippe and Marie-Ange made us feel right at home. Our room was large with a separate bathroom (including a spa bath) decorated in a traditional style. We were invited to eat with Philippe and Marie-Ange for the evening meal - and were treated to the most delicious home cooked 5 course meal you could imagine, along with matching local wines and great company (Duck with raspberry sauce was to die for). In the morning we had a home cooked breakfast including ham and eggs before we departed for the day. What a place, we felt like royalty! Thoroughly recommended.

My husband and I recently spent the night at La Courtesie as part of a Provence cycling trip we did for our honeymoon. Our time at La Courtesie was one of the highlights of an incredible vacation. Marie-Ange and Philippe were so welcoming and were incredibly gracious hosts. Our room was breathtakingly beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the pool and Jacuzzi was just what we needed after a tough day of biking. The beautiful, well-maintained grounds are the perfect place to enjoy privacy and seclusion, or to meet other guests. There were so many highlights of our short stay, but no review could be complete without commenting on Marie-Ange's cooking, which was one of the best meals we enjoyed during a week of outstanding meals. The dinner she prepared was extravagant and delicious! We so enjoyed eating dinner with Marie-Ange and Philippe who were really a pleasure to get to talk to. Breakfast was also wonderful. If you are planning a visit to Saint-Maximin, and want some rest and relaxation, make sure to stay at La Courtesie. We will definitely stay with them again if we are fortunate enough to return to Provence!
