Bristol Avignon

I am currently staying in the hotel and so far the experience has been terrible… I am only staying for 1 night thankfully… We checked into the first room and the AC did not work at all… We are in our second room now and the AC is terrible. I have visited the front desk twice now and the attendant, who has control of the AC on his computer, refuses to let the room be turned down lower and says I have to ask for the manager in the AM… I spend 100 nights a year in hotels all over the world and this is a first for me and absolutely ridiculous… I am fully aware that Europe is experiencing an unprecedented heat wave right now, and it is one thing if the hotel was not capable of keeping up with keeping the rooms cool… It’s absolutely something else to refuse to allow the thermostats to be set lower… I am very disappointed and look forward to 6am when we checked into out of this place… Very unfortunate and I hope that those reading don’t make the same mistake I did in booking a room here! What a disappointment…

We stayed at Bristol Hotel for 2 nights to spend a few days in Avignon. Located inside the City walls, this hotel location makes everything walkable and close to the train station in a safe environment. Close to many restaurants, shops, etc., gives you everything you need. The best part of this hotel is the staff and the rooms. It is beautifully decorated and makes you feel like you are in a different era. The front desk staff, Walid, in particular, are friendly and helpful and it made for a lovely stay. They have a beautiful bar area and Jeremy and Walid were fun to talk with and educated us on the area. They had great restaurant recommendations as well. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious for a European hotel. It was clean and made for a good night's sleep. The water pressure was very good as well.

Hotel very well situated near the train station. Reception staff very pleasant, especially a young man whose name we unfortunately do not have. There was a configuration error with our room (error due to a subcontractor from Booking). Instead of 2 single beds, we received a room with 1 double bed. They immediately took the necessary steps to prepare a new room for us. Nothing to complain about, excellent. Thank you.
