We had reserved, taking care to call the hotel, a room with 2 beds, facing the inner courtyard. The room that was offered to us (great comfort) had only one medium-sized bed. We were told that the room with 2 beds had been assigned to people who were staying longer. I read in other comments that this is not the first time this has happened. Additionally, the floors in the rooms are click-clack and creak terribly. On the positive side: the staff is charming and does everything they can to compensate for the lack of professionalism from management.

A very unpleasant experience... What a disappointment! The inn must have had its glory days (confirmed by locals, it has disappeared with its previous owner), but here everything is exaggerated... and especially overrated. Small, uninteresting rooms (the kind worth 70 euros, not 155), no nice view (parking for the room, a small patch of green with no perspective or even flowers for the restaurant), and a restaurant with generally very disappointing dishes as well (except for the oeuf meurette).

The cottage is presented as having 6 bedrooms, whereas in reality, the number of actual bedrooms is 4, with possibly a few additional sleeping arrangements. The mezzanine cannot reasonably be considered a bedroom, and another room equipped with three single beds and 4 skylights without any blackout system resembles more of an improvised dormitory for teenagers than a true family room, especially since it lacks any decoration and shows a clear lack of maintenance. This room could not reasonably be occupied under good conditions, which concretely meant that there was a lack of a true bedroom compared to the needs anticipated at the time of booking. Furthermore, the courtyard is shared, which was not clearly highlighted in the advertisement. The cottage is also advertised as "newly renovated." However, aside from the large living room, which is indeed charming and nicely decorated, the rest of the accommodation did not seem ready to welcome travelers under good conditions. We noted numerous malfunctions and a blatant lack of maintenance and cleanliness: - espresso coffee machine out of order; - oven without a rack, only equipped with a grease tray; - insufficient kitchen utensils (almost only cutlery) - very dirty dishwasher; - sticky countertop; - dirty kitchen cabinet doors; - fitted sheets with hairs and fur; -numerous spider webs; -dust and dead insects in large quantities; -signs of moisture and mold in one of the rooms, the mezzanine, in fact! In light of this situation, it had been agreed with the concierge that a couple could be relocated to the hotel L'Hôtellerie du Clos, which is associated with the lodge, in order to compensate for this unusable room, which seemed to be a minimum considering the damage suffered. However, at the time of payment, the hotel manager absolutely did not respect this agreement and demanded full payment for the hotel room at the high rate. Even more surprising, it was not even possible to extend this relocation for two nights since the hotel was fully booked. This attitude was particularly poorly received in the context of this family stay involving 25 people. We had reserved the lodge as well as six rooms at the hotel, with some staying for two nights, and also organized dinners and breakfasts at the establishment. Despite the significance of this overall reservation, we were faced with an attitude that we found to be marked by bad faith and a profound lack of consideration and respect towards the clients. At this price level, these conditions and this way of managing the encountered difficulties are unacceptable. We sincerely regret the gap between the promise of the advertisement and the reality of the accommodation, as well as the complete absence of any commercial gesture or understanding in light of the numerous inconveniences suffered.
