Vvf Villages Semur En Auxois

Very beautiful experience with my grandchildren for 2 weeks. Kids' club activities were top-notch; bravo to Pierre who draws everyone into his passions!! 👍 Bravo also to the cooks who offer a variety and quality for all meals! This is the 3rd time I have come to this VVF and I do not regret it ☺️

First stay in a vvf and definitely the last. We spent 1 week there with our 2 young children and our baby. We have taken accommodation 8 people and no, the accommodation is not spacious as some assure. We ran out of equipment (5 chairs inside (accommodation for 8?), 10 small spoons, few glasses etc...) There was no storage to unpack the bags. We also found it very dirty (not being particularly manic). Lots of dust under the beds, in the corners, crumbs all over the drawers, the window door hasn't seen a rag in months. Let's not even talk about the state of the couch... Honestly for the price I paid, I don't understand how the proposed accommodation can be so outdated. Not possible to watch TV, no wifi in the accommodation, if you want to make a washing machine it is 5 euros + 3 euros per laundry capsule. Children's activities are similar to those of a conventional air centre. And again, our 6 year old son told us preferred the airy center of our village. I thought, perhaps naively, that original activities would be proposed. In the end he played a lot of ball... the staff is certainly friendly but I don't see the point of paying such expensive accommodation to be poorly housed and have "classic" children's activities. On the other hand we enjoyed the activities of the area (auxois park, the museum of Alesia, the castle of Thil...). In conclusion, this accommodation is the worst we have had in ten years and yet the most expensive! I don't recommend it.

Indeed: - while the floors, furniture and equipment of the dwellings have been renovated, the interior creeks are not clear, the exterior paints are very faded and the cleaning is incomplete (dust luminaires, dirty windows, leftovers of tape on the furniture...) - the frames are old, dirty, and not very tight (air, noise) - sofas, lepers (headrests, armrests), are frankly unpresentable - presence of many spiders (live or dead) and some cockroaches (housing and common areas) - TV smart cards not delivered = no TV throughout the stay and for all accommodation, in high season -the staff is sometimes inexperienced – in restaurants, the systematic recycling of leftovers may be virtuous, but it is to the detriment of the variety of ingredients and, sometimes, of the freshness - Service staff constantly slalom between tables to retrieve empty plates at the last bite swallowed, as if they feared they would run out for the rest of the Service - equipment is missing from the inventory (including chairs) in the accommodation as there are not enough staff to carry out the inventory on arrival and departure - lighting of alleys is random -collective bins overflow because not enough All this gives the impression that, in order to maximise the margin, a minimum amount of money is spent to run the village, even if it means deteriorating the conditions of the customers and the working conditions of the employees. Too bad.
